We are excited to announce that Sticky Education has been selected as the only educational company to participate in the prestigious Innovate Telford Programme, part of European Innovate!
Sticky Education is the brainchild of experienced Teacher turned Consultant, Stephanie Bentley. Frustrated by the lack of creativity in education, especially within the writing of fiction, she began researching this problem. With the help of creative writing workshops, research and using her own school as a guinea pig, she founded what would eventually become Sticky Write.
In order to work on her Sticky Write scheme, Stephanie left permanent teaching to take on the unenviable role of supply teaching, to further research Literacy within schools across four councils. Alongside this, she discovered a variety of significant problems. From Art units consisting mainly of reading and writing, Science taught without any practical investigations, severe behavioural challenges in mainstream classrooms and School Support Officers with outdated or unnecessary recommendations, she realised the scale of the problem was bigger than first thought.
Although she cannot currently influence policy within the government, her mission now is to bring positive change to education through awareness, schemes, technology and school support.

Research consistently supports the idea that music, drama, dance and art not only enhance creativity but also improve the foundational skills needed for writing. These disciplines engage different sensory and cognitive pathways, helping students develop a richer vocabulary, improved narrative skills and deeper emotional understanding, all of which are critical for effective writing. Integrating the arts into literacy education provides a multi-sensory approach that makes writing more accessible and enjoyable for children.
Sticky Write is a writing scheme that adopts this approach, ensuring that each unit of work uses the arts to improve writing skills. By incorporating elements of music, drama, dance, and visual arts, Sticky Write aims to create an immersive educational experience that engages students on multiple levels.
fictional writing scheme that encourages and embeds creativity.
